Perimeter and Area
W.A.L.T solving problems using Perimeter and Area

Perimeter is measuring all sides of a shape. You would use perimeter when you need the measuring of all sides of an object for buildings.
Area is measuring how long something is. You would use Area when you need the measurement of how long something is.
I think I have a good understanding of perimeter and area.

Today in Room 11 we drew a garden to understand the concept of area.I thought that it was easy to draw, and was interested in how it would turn out in the end. When we added the prices together it was a little bit challenging but i managed to do it. It was interesting when we were looking at the sort of the pavers and their prices because we had to choose one sort of paving and when we were looking at rocks and stones for the rock garden.

Positioning fractions on the number line
Walt: position fractions on the number line.
This week in maths, I learned how to place fractions on the number line and in this game you have to place the fractions in the right position or you have to place them again. There are different levels to play. Level 1 ,level 2 ,level 3 , etc. They are very easy if you understand your fractions.
